Notice of Board Vacancy
The Vassar Public School District is seeking applications for the current vacant position on the board of education. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position through Dec. 31, 2022 and will be replaced by the individual elected to the position based upon the Nov. 8, 2022 election results on Jan. 1, 2023.
Interested persons must submit a letter expressing interest in the board position and their qualifications for the position to the district office located at 220 Athletic Street Vassar MI 48768, no later than 4 p.m. on October 27, 2021. Following a review of the submitted materials, the board will schedule interviews with selected candidates. Not all candidates for the board vacancy will be interviewed. If you have any questions concerning the role of the board of education and the responsibilities of a board member, please contact Dorothy Blackwell, Superintendent of Schools, at (989) 823-8535 option 1.

Central picture day will be Friday, October 15th for Young 5 - 5th grade students. Picture forms were sent home with Central students last week, extras are available in the office at Central.

HOMECOMING FESTIVITIES!
Join us tonight for the crowning of this year's Homecoming King at the Powderpuff Football game! Game starts at 6:30pm at the football field, concessions will be available. We will be incorporating
pep assembly games as well during the powderpuff game!
Come join us tomorrow night (Friday) for this year's Homecoming Parade and crowning of the Homecoming Queen at half time of the game! Parade line up is on Lincoln Street @ 5:00 for everyone walking/riding in the parade and the parade will start at 5:30 and will end in front of the football field. Lincoln to Cass, to Huron, to Main street, to Maple, to Division, to Athletic. Football game starts at 7:00pm at the football field.
Homecoming dance will follow the game and end at 11:00pm. It will be held outside behind the transportation garage, cost is $2.00. This dance is casual, not formal.
