The Vassar Public School District is engaging all stakeholders in a conversation about Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) to address learning recovery from the impact of COVID-19. These funds are designated for one-time or short-term expenditures to address the ongoing impact of the pandemic.
The Administration of Vassar Public Schools is seeking feedback from all district and community stakeholders to help determine how the district should best utilize these resources to address unfinished learning, ongoing COVID-19 recovery and Federal Program grant funds. Today the Varsity Cross Country team competed in the Division 3 Regional Meet at Delta College. The course was wet and muddy making it difficult for runners. Junior Ashley Shindorf placed 8th to earn a medal. Shindorf was also the first individual qualifier to earn her place at the State meet. The Cross Country State Meet will once again be held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn Saturday. Congratulations on a great season to all our Vulcan runners!

Vassar Public Schools Theater Department invites you to "Be Our Guest" for their performance of Beauty and the Beast! Performances will be November 19 & 20 at 7:00pm and Sunday, November 21 at 2:00 pm in the High School Auditorium. Call or stop by the High School office for tickets or see a cast member. Good Afternoon Vulcan Families! Tomorrow Friday, October 29 is a half day for students due to teacher professional development in the afternoon.
Hello Vulcan Families, we will have a double run tomorrow and Friday on the Horse Bus #20-6. Students riding the Horse bus will be picked up and dropped off later than normal.
Vassar Public Schools will return to face-to-face learning tomorrow Thursday, October 28. Please keep your child home if they are exhibiting any symptoms related to COVID-19. Please see the attached letter for more information.
Good Evening Vassar Families. Due to the increasing number of positive COVID-19 cases and the recent increase of contact tracing numbers within the district, Vassar Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, October 27 to continue with the deep cleaning of all district buildings. . The district will reassess the situation at that time. Please see the attached letter from Ms. Blackwell in regards to the situation.
Due to the district closing for deep cleaning all buildings are closed. There will be no latchkey, indoor practices, PM tech center, or Board of Education Meeting.

We have had an increase in positive Antigen BinaxNOW rapid tests at both Central Elementary and the 6-12 Building. We are closing the entire school district at 12:10 today in order to complete a deep clean of all district buildings. We understand this is an inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate the COVID-19 situation. We will continue to update you as information comes in.

Congratulations to Junior Ashley Shindorf on her First Team All Confrence 5th place finish at Brown City. Sophmore Nick Tallman earned an All Conference Honorable Mention by placing 20th at tonights meet. Middle Schooler Maddox Fabbro earned a medal and All Conference Certificate thanks to his fifth place finish. Vassar Cross Country teams will travel to Caro Golf Course on Saturday to compete in the Thumb Area Championships.
