Again this year, S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is fortunate to partner with Ten Point Towing and Impact Images, who have generously contributed donations and offered their support in our mission to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving.
We invite everyone to come and see the powerful display we've set up in the parking lot across from the high school. It's more than just an exhibit; it's a sobering reminder of what can happen when someone chooses to drive under the influence. This impactful visual will hopefully encourage responsible decision-making among our students and within the wider community.
Do you want to smash a car? The Vassar High School Robotics team will be hosting a Car Smash at the Townsend North Parking Lot on Thursday, Oct 3rd and 4th during the Powder Puff and Varsity Football Games. Sponsored by Barnum's Auto Salvage. You must have a waiver signed by a parent to participate.
Thank you to Assistant Prosecutor William Hill for taking the time to come and present information about important topics to our 6th - 8th grade students on Friday. He provided knowledge and tips to help students keep themselves and others safe. He will be back with us on October 25 to present to our 9th - 12th grade students.

On Friday, our National Honor Society students took to the streets to collect trash along M15. The group has adopted a portion of the highway south of city limits. It was a beautiful day and the kids did a great job. A special thanks to our adult volunteers - Mrs. Wachner, Mrs. Gamet, Nurse Greer, School Board member, Mr. Baker, and Officer Hammill.

On Wednesday, Sept. 25th, we hosted a very successful Blood Drive at Vassar High School thanks to the help of our NHS students and The Red Cross. We had 30 donors, the majority being first-time student donors and 26 units were collected. What a great thing these students are doing by donating blood and "saving lives". We are so proud of our students, staff, and community that took the time to donate- THANK YOU!
Good Evening, Vulcan Families! Tomorrow, Friday, September 27, 2024, will be a half-day for students due to staff professional development in the afternoon. Central students will be released at 12:05, and 6-12 students will be released at 11:45.
6th-12th grade pictures are in and were handed out to students today during lunch. Every student should have a school ID in their envelope. Their school ID can be used at home sporting events and will allow them to pay $1 to get in. Students will only be issued one ID so please be careful not to lose it. If you didn’t order pictures for your child, there is a proof in each envelope, and you can still order them, just follow the instructions on the proof sheet.
Retakes will be taken on October 25th if your child wasn't here on picture day or if you aren't happy with your child's photo.
