Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, full-time Vulcan Virtual Academy students are eligible to play sports for Vassar High School!

Yesterday, Mrs. Frahm's 6th grade Advanced Math class had a wonderful visit to the senior center at Ivan Middleton Hall at the fairgrounds! Students and seniors spent time together making homemade stress balls, sharing laughs, and building meaningful connections. It was a great experience and a good time had by all, even our bus driver Henry!
Thank you to HDC (Human Development Commission) for inviting our students each month for a fun activity! It has been a great year, and we can't wait to see what next year brings!
If you know a senior citizen looking for activities during the week, please contact Barb Grifka (barbarag@hdc-caro.org) at the Human Development Commission for a calendar of events; they also serve lunch!

Each student created a display board showcasing their future plans, giving fellow students and community members a glimpse into the exciting paths ahead—whether that’s college, careers, military service, or other opportunities.
It was inspiring to see their hard work, goals, and individuality on full display. We’re proud of the Class of 2026 and can’t wait to see all they accomplish next!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students!

It was a special opportunity for our students to share their music and connect with members of our community.
Thank you to the Senior Center for welcoming us—we look forward to coming back again! ❤️

It was a wonderful evening filled with music, dancing, laughter, and great memories as students came together to mark this special milestone before heading into high school. Everyone looked fantastic, and the positive energy made it a night to remember!

Onna, along with the other 3 students from the county, did an outstanding job representing their communities. In addition to the competition, the students had the opportunity to explore Atlanta and participated in a behind the scenes tour at the CDC, thanks to Vassar alumni Abbey Wonjo! It was an awesome experience for all!

We are just over a month away from the 2nd Annual Vassar Football Golf Outing. We are still looking to add teams and sponsors for this year's event. All proceeds go directly to pay for team camps and new team equipment.
Last year's profits allowed us to travel to Mancelona for a 3-day camp that was free for all students, including food. We also purchased new pads and a fifth section for the Lev sled. It also allowed us to purchase a Jugs machine that will let our players get extra reps catching passes, and our kick returners get extra reps catching kicks.

Yesterday, Mrs. Piazza’s 6th hour art class visited Vassar Comfort Care, where students partnered with residents to paint trinket boxes together. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and meaningful connections across generations.
We’re proud of our students for representing our school so well and giving back to the Vassar community!

Mr. Hahn’s 3rd hour weightlifting class spent time at the Vassar Historical Society Museum, helping rake and clean up the grounds. Their hard work made a big difference and showed what teamwork and service look like in action.
We are so proud of our students for representing our school so well and giving back to the Vassar community!
