Good Afternoon Vulcans! Students who ride bus #16-2 the camel bus will no longer have a double run. Students who ride the camel bus will be picked up and dropped off as normal going forward.

Good Afternoon Vulcan Families! We will continue to have have double runs on bus #16-1 the elephant bus and #16-2 the camel bus this week. Students riding these buses will be picked up and dropped off later than normal. We will also have a double run in the afternoon on bus #20-6 the horse bus. Students riding the horse bus will be arriving home later than normal tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.

MDHHS issues quarantine guidance for asymptomatic students

Vulcan families! Please review the following letter from the Superintendent's Office in regards to probable COVID-19 outbreak within Vassar Public Schools.

Good Afternoon Vulcan Families! There will be an additional double run tonight on bus #20-6 the horse bus. Students riding the horse bus will be arriving later than normal. We will continue to have have double runs on bus #16-1 the elephant bus and #16-2 the camel bus for the remainder of the week. Accuracy: The BinaxNOW test correctly gave a positive result 84.6% of the time compared to PCR. In the same study, the test correctly gave a negative result 98.5% of the time. All individuals who test positive with a Bionex test on campus are encouraged to visit a local physician's office to get a PCR confirmatory test. Rapid tests are administered to offer peace of mind to our families. They are voluntary and not required by the district for any staff member or student. The following disclaimer is provided once a test is administered: Disclaimer: This should not be the sole basis for notifying an individual about their infection status as a positive may be a false positive. Vassar Public School and its staff are not medical professionals. Please consult with your health care professional to confirm these results.

Reminder: If your student is not feeling well please keep them home. If any student is experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 and you would like them to obtain a rapid test please call the Superintendents Office at 989-823-8535 option 1.

Good Evening Vulcans and Welcome Back!  School resumes with a half-day tomorrow.  Please be advised that all week we will have double runs on bus #16-1  the elephant bus and #16-2 the camel bus. Students riding these buses will be picked up and dropped off later than normal.

Students return to the classroom on Monday for a half day and we can't wait! As a reminder: If you have tested positive for COVID-19, have been contacted by the Health Department or notified by a person who has tested positive that you are a close contact and need to quarantine, or you or a family member are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 including those similar to seasonal allergies and have not already contacted your school office please do so as soon as possible.

Varsity Fall Sports are back tonight and we can't wait! Lets celebrate the Vassar coaches who made a difference in your life, leave a comment for them below! Varsity Cross Country will be at Taymouth Township Park at 4:30pm. Varsity Football at home against Lakeville tonight kick-off at 7pm. Varsity Volleyball at home tomorrow for their tri-meet at 8:30am. Good luck to all of our Vulcans!
