Hello Vulcan families,
To reduce lost instructional time for students affected by double bus runs, we will adjust some morning routes by about 20 minutes on days when a substitute driver is not available. You will receive a robocall on those days confirming that we are using the alternate schedule.
We are also rotating which route runs second each week to share the impact more fairly.
For the week of November 3rd - 7th:
On Monday, Thursday, and Friday
• Horse Bus: Morning pickups will be 20 minutes earlier than their normal time. Students will be dropped off early, and school staff will be on site to supervise.
• Cat Bus: This route will run second. The route will begin at 7:25 a.m. (35 minutes later than their normal time). Please have students ready and watching for the bus so boarding can be quick. This will also be a double run in the PM.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, both routes will run normal times as we have a sub driver available those days.
Thank you for your support and flexibility as we work through ongoing bus driver shortages. We appreciate your partnership with our transportation team.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming a substitute bus driver, please contact the transportation office for details (training costs may be covered by the district).
