Today, 7th and 8th grade students participated in the Frankenmuth Credit Union Reality Fair. Each student was able to choose an occupation and go through a financial simulation that demonstrated how to budget appropriately. Great job to all of our 7th and 8th grade students who took this opportunity seriously and learned a lot about life choices during this activity. Also, a huge thank you to Frankenmuth Credit Union for facilitating this event!

Congratulations to May's "Be a Star" winners! Jordan Hutchinson (8th grade) Jordan has made great strides in his academic performance and behavior. He is always the first to volunteer in class for discussion, answers or to help. We are so proud of him and his efforts. Gavin Martin (10th grade) Gavin consistently demonstrates our Vulcan Values, and he is an exemplary student. He is dedicated to helping others, and his plan to pursue a career in law enforcement is well thought out. He will be a valuable asset to his community.

Yesterday, our positive behavior winners in grades 5-12 traveled to Comerica Park to watch the Detroit Tigers. Forty students were able to attend as an end-of-year reward for all of their accomplishments related to attendance, behavior, and course performance throughout the year. Students and staff had a wonderful time exploring the park, watching the game, and we even made it on the Jumbotron a few times! Congratulations to all of these students and thank you all for following your Vulcan Values this school year.

Mr. Gleeson is a dedicated former alumni and athletic director for the district. He has significantly enriched youth sports and activities over the years. He is the current president of the Vassar Athletic Association and a devoted father. Mr. Gleeseon's commitment to Vassar athletics spans from coaching and being in the classroom to helping with the Fun and Fit after-school program.
