Vassar Vulcans several of our staff members will be receiving their second dose of theĀ COVID-19 vaccine. Due to an ongoingĀ sub shortage Thursday, March 4, and Friday, March 5 will be virtual learning days for all grade levels.Ā Students will be sent home with 4 days of breakfast and lunch. Any students in grades 6-12 who are interested auditions for Aladdin the Musical will take place tonight in HS auditorium from 6:00-8:00 and again on Wednesday, Feb. 24 from 6:00-8:00. Remember to wear a mask. Official practices start on Thursday, Feb. 25, 6:00-8:00.

Due to weather conditions on Monday, February 22. Food distribution will take place on Tuesday this week. 7 days of breakfast and lunch are available for pick up from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Vassar High School parking lot for our non-face to face learners.

How to Properly care for your school-issued Chromebook: Chromebooks and chargers should be returned to the school the following school day in the order it was received. Please do not allow your student to use these devices on their beds or pillows in an effort to prevent overheating. USB devices should not be plugged into the Chromebook for any reason. Students should not be eating or drinking while using their devices, in an effort to prevent damage. Chromebook screens will be cleaned upon return to the school, please do not clean device screens while in your care as damage may occur. Chromebooks should not be placed on the floor. Make sure Chromebooks are in a safe area where they will not be damaged by pets or others in the home when in use or during charging.Ā Thank you for your continued support.

Vassar Vulcans all students will be bringing home Chromebooks and chargers for the weekend. Please review with your student how to responsibly care for and use their device. Chromebooks and chargers are a vital part of our every day classroom learning. Please make sure that all items are returned the next school day.

Vassar Vulcan's to prepare all students for district-wide virtual learning days. Please exchange your school-issued Sprint hotspot for a new T-Mobile hotspot from 8-3 at the 6-12 office tomorrow Thursday, February 18. The HS Art Graphics students just finished up their laser cut 3D wood signs- such a creative and talented group of students!
