How cool is this?! We have an overabundance of boys'/men's dress pants, shirts, suits, sweaters, shoes, etc., and a handful of ladies' dress clothes that have been donated to our Clothes Closet. For the rest of this week, we have all these clothes out free for our students to help themselves! These will be great for job interviews, church, weddings, etc. If you know your child is in need of dress clothes, talk to them about looking through what we have. A special thank you to Mrs. Bobbi Gamet for organizing all of the clothes so well for this giveaway and for her hard work in keeping our Clothes Closet so well organized!

Last chance for attendance makeups for grades 6-11 will be June 12-14 before and after school.  Attendance make-ups will be credited on an hourly basis, for any students with 10 absences (unexcused or excused, not including medical or professional absences). For example, if you have 10 absences in all 6 hours, for which you earn credit or a grade, you will need to attend 6 sessions. If you have 10 absences in 4 classes, you will be required to attend 4 sessions in order to earn credit. Students with 11 or more unexcused (U) or excused (E)  absences will not be allowed to make up days and will need to sign up for Summer School to begin credit recovery. Transportation will not be available for attendance make-up sessions. These will be held in Mrs. Barber's room during the following times:  6:45 AM - 7:45 AM  3:15PM - 4:15PM  If you have questions regarding your student’s attendance, feel free to call the 6-12 Office. The Great Lakes Bay Health Center is bringing the mobile dentist bus to Vassar Schools in October!  This will be available to all of our students, but we need to know how many people would be interested.  GLBHC accepts and bills most forms of dental insurance, but if you don’t have insurance, the cost is $40.00.  Please email Nurse Greer at cgreer@vassar.k12.mi.us or call 989-571-1330 to sign up or to get additional information.
