October Intersession information was emailed to all 6-12 grade parents today, including the registration and transportation form. Intersession dates are Oct. 23-27. The deadline to sign up for the October Intersession is Friday, Oct. 13, 2023.
Good Evening Vulcan Families! Tomorrow Wednesday, September 27 is a half day for students due to teacher professional development in the afternoon.
Attention parents of Tech Center students, please disregard if your child is not a Tech Center student.
Wednesday, September 27 is a half day of school. Half-day procedures for Tech Center students are as follows: Both AM and PM Tech students will go to Tech Center. AM Tech will return to school and must go to their 7th hour or will be charged with an absence 7th hour. PM Tech students will be bussed to and from Tech Center but will need a ride home when they return to the school.
Vassar High School has all kinds of opportunities coming in October to help our students learn more about different options and pathways for their future! Many representatives from colleges and organizations will be visiting our school to speak with 11th and 12th students, see Mrs. Fish to sign up! (see attached list)
Also, 10th-12th grade students will have the opportunity to go on college campus tours during October intersession to see what different schools have to offer and where they might fit best! See Mrs. Fish for sign ups and details! (see attached list)

Are you ready for the Homecoming Parade tomorrow? We cant wait! A few reminders:
We love our community and the support they give our school, so please stay off of private property. This includes the hill behind the maintenance building.
Spectators remember bags to collect candy! Be sure to take care of any trash.
The Powderpuff game and crowning of the Homecoming King will take place after the parade, so be sure to stick around for more homecoming fun.
The Robotics Club will host a car smash fundraiser in the Townsend North parking lot tomorrow after the parade and Friday during the game. Waivers must be completed to participate.
For those worried they won't have time for dinner- don't worry! You can stop by one of the great restaurants downtown or swing into Cooks Budget Lot and grab The Pit BBQ (while supplies last) while you enjoy the parade. A concession stand run by the Band Boosters will also be available after the parade.

October 23-27, intersession sign-up forms were sent home with students. Central forms are pink, and 6-12 forms are red. If your child would benefit from participating in intersession, please ensure completed forms are returned to your child's school office by October 9.
