If you are attending the Vassar Graduation Ceremony tonight at 7:30, please do not sit lawn chairs on the track surface. Guests are allowed to sit in the home or visitor bleachers, or you may bring your own lawn chair and sit along the fence line or on the football field inside the roped off area. There is no limit set for guests, we hope you can join us to celebrate our 2021 Seniors!

Vulcan Families: There will be a double run on the Duck Bus #20-11 tomorrow morning Thursday, May 27. Students riding the Duck bus will be picked up later than normal.

The Department of Health and Human Services, Immunization Division wants to remind families that Michigan Schools are required to report immunization records regardless of if a student is virtual, or face-to-face. Please see the attached letter from MDHHS for more information.



Today all 6th-8th grade in person students will be bringing home their last Family Fun Pack! The Term 4 Family Fun Pack, includes a cool miniature indoor/outdoor herb garden and snacks! Enjoy time with your family planting the seeds, watching them grow and using them when you cook!
All fun packs this year were sponsored by the SIG Family/Community Group, working to provide our students with activities to do together with their families! We hope you have enjoyed each of them and as we grow closer to the end of the year we hope you have a great summer!

Ascension Medical Group of Vassar will be providing free sports physicals to all athletes going into grades 6-12 next year. The physicals will take place in the high school gym on Wednesday June 2nd at 1pm. Physical forms are available in the athletic office. Congratulations to the Middle School STEM Roller Coaster Design Challenge Winners: Caeleb Partridge, Cassidie Sebert, Maddox Gorleski, Marshall Sherwood, Annabelle Genow, Kylee Hill, and Hailey Putman. Annabelle was our Grand Prize Winner and will receive 4 tickets to Cedar Point! The others each received a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant or a $25 gift certificate to Alphine Mountain Golf. Families of students grades 9-12, the 2019-2021 High School Yearbook is now available to be ordered. This year, the yearbook is a combination of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years. If you ordered a yearbook last year, you will receive a copy of the combined yearbook once produced and you do not need to order again. However, if you would like to order a copy and have not done so, please go to ybpay.com and enter the school code 13043121. From there, select your student (grade 9-12 only) and complete your order. The cost of this year's yearbook is $35 with additional printing options available.
Yearbooks are estimated to be printed and delivered by December of 2021, but could come earlier or later depending on Lifetouch's production schedule. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Currie at the high school or email him at kcurrie@vassar.k12.mi.us

If you have a student who will be joining us for the summer Vulcan Achieve Camp or Summer School and will need bussing, please contact your school office to request a transportation slip. Slips should be completed and turned in no later than May 28.

6-11th grade pictures were handed out today in mentoring class so check with your student if they don't bring them home today. Every student was supposed to have had pictures taken for yearbook and ID purposes, so if you didn't order pictures your child was given a proof and information for ordering if you change your mind.
Online/Virtual and Senior students that had their pictures taken can pick up in the Office between 7:30-4:00.

The Art Show at the Bullard Sanford Public is ready to go!! Through lots of open and shut this year, our resilient students were still able to create a beautiful assortment of Art!
The show is available until 6pm each day and will close Friday at 3pm. If you cannot view the show at the library - the link below will give you a little glimpse. Enjoy!

All face-to-face students in grades 6-11 will return to the classroom tomorrow Monday, May 17. Seniors will remain virtual as they prepare for graduation. Vassar Busses will resume their normal bus routes beginning tomorrow.
