At Tuesday night's Regular Board of Education meeting, we recognized current Board President Matt Koch for his 25 years of service on the Board of Education. Mr. Koch's term will end on December 31. Thank you, Matt, for all you have done for Vassar Students and Staff; best of luck on your next adventure as Tuscola County Commissioner.
There is nothing better than seeing the success of our former Vulcan Students! Meet Colton Tyson, a 2014 graduate of VHS. Colton is a Physician Assistant student at Grand Valley State University. Recently Colton was one of 52 PA students to receive the prestigious Ron Nelson Memorial Scholarship! Do you know a Vassar graduate with a great story we could share? ATTENTION 6th-12th grade parents. February Intersession will be February 13-17th. If you want your child to participate in the February Intersession, the registration deadline is Jan. 13, 2023. Paperwork is attached, is also available in the 6-12 office and every student will be given a copy in their mentoring class on Thursday, Dec. 15.

Hey Vulcans! We've kept it quiet long enough--- but air conditioning units are starting to be installed in the district! You may remember that the school received a grant to get air conditioning in the buildings after adopting a balanced calendar. Johnson Controls has been working hard and we are so excited to say this project will be completed by June 30, 2023.
In 1986 Former VHS Principal Paul Wojno started the Senior Citizen Brunch, which became a tradition for 34 years. Today we opened our doors back up and hosted this program after a two-year hiatus. The performances were live-streamed on Facebook for those who missed them and want to watch. Thank you to all who joined us- see you next year!

Thanks to the students in Mrs. Fish’s Mentoring class who have been hard at work to keep our bulletin boards up to date! Check out their newest one for information about our upcoming spirit week, as well as ways to make sure students are staying on top of their schoolwork.
Middle school art students are very busy this morning in Santa’s workshop making paper chains to decorate Christmas trees and putting the finishing touches on placements for tomorrow’s senior citizens breakfast!
Still looking for help with completing the FAFSA? Delta is holding several Financial Aid workshops over the next couple months. They have a couple virtual dates coming up where you can get help from the comfort of your own home.
Don't forget that the FAFSA is a required element in your Senior Project. If you need a hand check out the Virtual sessions on Dec. 9th with your parents. It's a great way to get this requirement knocked out.
